Ok. She's not a celebrity, but she DID get to share her new school library with the world this last week. Someone from her community donated a large sum of $ for her to update her library. Others pitched in as well, and they worked on it all summer long. I didn't see it in its progress because she wanted it to be a surprise. If you know my mother, she LOVES surprises. Anyway, it is BEAUTIFUL! She's worked there for 23 years and it's always been in a transformed classroom. It had missmatched chairs and shelves and it was just plain ugly. Now, it's full of natural wood, carpet, a mural, a VERY comfy rocker (for her to sit in and read to the kids and everything MATCHES. If you know my mom, that's VERY important to her.
The pic below is of one of the local news stations interviewing her at the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony. It was so cute to see how excited the students were as they stood outside the room (320 students in ONE hallway! :O ) and watched her cut the ribbon.
I took the kids back that night and let them see it and play in the library, in the loft. They LOVED it. Here's Nathan in the loft. He was quite impressed. The pic below is of one of the local news stations interviewing her at the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony. Lauren doing the same.
Under the loft, is another reading area. Here, Brookelyn is posing in front of part of the tree mural. Cool, huh?
Congratulations, Mom, on a beautiful library, after all of these years in the ugly one! You did a great job.

I CERTAINLY AGREE, BRITTANY. THE LIBRARY IS BEAUTIFUL. I'M SO GLAD FOR HER. MAKES YOU WANT TO GO TO WORK EACH MORNING!!!
Way to go, Marie! I don't think I knew that was happening, or maybe I had heard some time ago that it was going to happen. Anyway, that is wonderful, and I'm sure, a dream come true! :)
