Every year, the school my mom works for has a fall book fair. They always have a theme for the school and do special things for a whole week. The kids love it. Sometimes it gets pretty elaborate. Well, this year, they're trying to raise money to buy books for our local hospital's pediatric unit. I think this is a GREAT idea! What a great way for the kids to spend their piggy bank money, by helping other kids who are sick.
They had a school meeting (they call it Fuzzy Friday) and the principal announced that if the school reached $100, she would dye her hair blue. (school colors) The PE teacher then jumped in and said if they reached $200, she'd dye her hair blue. The school nurse will for $300, a cook for $400. Now, the big news is that MY MOTHER, yes, Marie (!!!!!!), will dye HER hair blue if it gets to $500!!! Did you have to re-read that last sentence?!? Do you KNOW my mother?!? I can hardly wait! As she guessed, pictures WILL be posted right here, on this very blog.
Ok, all of you faithful blog readers, we need to help those poor pediatric patients get new books. I would be happy to get any and all of your donations to the school to help this great cause. Send me a check, payable to me. My dad thinks she set her sights too low. I think he's right. ha!

Just so you all know what my future is....in just five days the kids at my school have already collected $258.42...and there's 5 weeks to go! I think I'm doomed!!! Go ahead and laugh. I know who you are....I know where you live....I do pay-backs!!!

hee, hee! That's excellent! I just want to know, is it going to be real blue or that sort of punk red-blue that is an actual legitimate hair color. i want to see true blue! :)
