Our 13th wedding anniversary was last Monday, the 17th. I haven't had the time to blog about it this week and don't feel bad since we didn't get to celebrate it until last night anyway. My grandma offered to keep the kids so Paul and I could go out for dinner. It was so nice. We haven't had a date night in AGES! It was good to re-connect that way. After we ate, we drove around out in the country, for a while. It was quiet and peaceful. We got to talk uninterrupted and there was no fighting in the back seat of the car! We took the car so we could sit closer and be cozier. It was so fun to spend the evening with the man I choose to love and devote my life to. I feel so blessed to have him. He has so many great qualities. He's a good daddy to our kids. He loves me even when I'm fat and has never ever ever made me feel inadequate about my weight. He works very very hard for us so that I can stay home and raise our kids and homeschool. He and I are very like-minded when it comes to how we raise our kids and about the big things in our lives. He's held me many times while I've cried. He's been an awesome support when I've miscarried our babies. He never ever pressured me about whether or not to try again for another baby and supported me through all of the various testing and doctor's appointments and sonograms. One of my favorite memories of him is when Brookelyn was born. I was very very sick and was barely functional. I woke to him changing one of her maconium (not sure I spelled that right) diapers and knew he was doing a great job of caring for her when I couldn't. That may not seem like much to you, but it was HUGE for me. He's a tenderhearted, loving man. He's gentle and soft when he needs to be. I love him more than life itself. Here are a few pics of us together and pictures of some of the things I love about him...
He loves to play with our kids.
He loves to teach them new things and help them learn things the right way. Here, he's showing Brookelyn how to hold a bowling ball correctly.
