Wedding fun

Yesterday, Paul and I headed to Indianapolis to watch a friend of ours get married. It was a nice day trip and nice to just ride in a car w/ my hubby with no children in the back seat. The conversation time was great.

She got married at Union Station. It was so pretty. Everyone faced the center and they got married in the middle. It was a great idea. The families of the bride and groom faced the friends. So, when the pronouncement was made the pastor pronounced them to the families first and then they all turned around and he pronounced them to their friends. It was so neat. Their unity candle table arrangement was pretty. It just seemed to fit the grandeur of the room. There were no other decorations. There didn't need to be. Also, the 2 grandmothers that had deceased husbands, had a chair beside them with a picture of their husband on it. I thought that idea was sooo neat.

Here are a few pictures from the day. The Grand Hall, how it was set up for the ceremony.

We stood out in another area while they "flipped" the room for the reception. I didn't think to take a big picture of the reception. It looked nice as well. Here's what was at our place when we came back in the Grand Hall. Yummy!

I asked a friend at our table to take a picture of us. It's been a long time since we've had a picture of the two of us. Too bad there's some random guy in the background. grrrrr! I didn't realize it until I got home last night. Oh well. Here we are w/ the random guy...
