God is good and Apple Pie!

I guess I'm in the mood to blog again. This is the third post today! So, be sure to scroll down to read and see all three of them...

I emailed my mom this morning this note. I decided that since I use this as an online journal of sorts, that I'd want to remember this and also share my God with you too.

I went to the food pantry to do Marlene's job this morning. Oh my goodness! I got some really really great stuff! I got some stew meat and bread, and cereal, and sour cream, cottage cheese, mini corn dogs for the kids, frozen waffles, yogurt, jello (in a cup), lettuce, TONS of OJ, fritos, hot pockets, these meat loaves and mashed potatoes that you buy already made in the deli at Sams. (that's supper!), canned veggies, soup, chicken broth, little cool-aid drink things, Tide, more canned chicken, etc...

I pretty much mostly need milk and eggs from the store this week. God is good, ALL the time. I had a really rough day yesterday. Paul doesn't know what he wants to do (job wise) and isn't sure if he even wants to drive a truck anymore. Ok. I don't care what he does, just so it pays the bills. KWIM? Anyway, I spent most of the day in tears and it was just rough. I kept praying and asking God to calm me down and help me through it. I woke in the night and early this morning. I'd even dreamt about it. My stomach is a mess. I want to throw up everything I eat and therefore am not eating much. I'm not complaining, Mom. I want you to know what's happening. Anyway, I sat up in bed this morning and prayed about it more. Then, I got the kids up and ready for the food pantry. The guys started carrying in the groceries and honestly, had I not been in a room full of people, I'd have just sat on the floor and cried. I kept opening box after box FULL of things our family would use and some things would be a treat! God is so good to me.

I read a blog that Amie told me about. It's of a little girl that's 9mo old and has liver cancer and the mom miscarried a baby last week. Mom, I bet they'd give their right arm to have the "problems" I'm dealing, with to just have a healthy baby girl. I know I would if I were in their shoes!

Oh! And guess what's in the oven baking as I type this? A HUGE Mrs. Smith's apple pie! Yep! Got it from the food pantry.

God is good, ALL the time.

Why do I forget that again

and again?

Blessings are very often predicated on our actions & the lives we are living. I know it's not always the case, but I've found it to be often true. You're a wonderful mother & wife and the Lord knows that. He knows your needs and your struggles. You live a good life and you are being blessed because of it. Your family is in MY family's prayers. (((HUGS)))

Sometimes we do forget that He is good all the time. That He is in charge of us all; and He knows best. Blessings to you and your family. To one of my favorite people.

Someone once told me "if you will get out of the way and quit trying to control things then God can work" It can be really scary when we cant control situations or when we can't see a end or even worse when all we can see is a bad ending. A few years ago I learn some steps to giving God my hurts and fear. 1st write down your hurts and fears 2nd pray over each of them 3rd get rid of them physically and mentally 4th have the courage to let God have control
Hopes this helps alittle. You aren't alone. My love and prayers are with you and your family.
