Church Summer Program 2010

Each summer, our church children's department has a program that's all about the summer long VBS. My kids always look forward to this. They have 10 verses to learn over the summer. If they say them, they get prizes and candy for each verse. At the end of the summer, the children's department awards the kids who said all 10 at the program.
Every year, my kids have said all 10 verses. This year was Nathan's first year to do it. I have to admit, I didn't think he'd be able to or that he even would. I was wrong. Below, is a picture of my kids and my 2 nieces in front of the wall of names. As each kid said their verses, their name, along with the reference, was put on this main wall in our church. Each symbol (the bird, the pyramid, etc) represents each verse. The pyramids represented the 10th verse said. They're pointing to their own names.
The children's department isn't the only way my kids are rewarded for saying their verses. Several years ago, my dad (aka Grand-dad) began giving the verse sayers a $10 if they said all 10 of them. They are rewarded after the program. Below is a picture of Grand-dad and Nana with the 5 verse sayers.
L to R: Grand-dad, Paige, Brookelyn, Nathan, Lauren (She had a part in the program, that's why she's not in the same shirt.), Peyton, and Nana.
The kids were VERY happy with their $10 bills!
