Day 2 at Disney World meant a trip to Epcot. We boarded the bus at our resort and headed to Epcot. Most of the friends I talked to ahead of time told me the kids wouldn't like Epcot and to only count on spending about 1/2 the day there. We actually loved Epcot. I wish we could've spent more time there. We found some fun little rides for the kids to enjoy and it was just a pleasant park. It wasn't so "Disney World". While it was over the top, it just wasn't so theme park-ish. We definately had our favorite things to do there and wish we'd done some things we didn't.

I never knew the ball had a ride in it. Paul didn't like it, but the rest of us did. It was a very slow moving rollercoaster type train-thing that moved through the "ball" and talked about history and the future. Even Nathan liked it. While riding through it, Nathan looked at me and said, "Mommy, are we in the belly of the ball?!?". I told him yes. Later that night, we saw a picture of Epcot and the infamous ball and he said, "I was in the belly of that ball!". He's so funny!
We went in to see a bunch of the characters and have the kids' autograph books signed. I thought maybe Nathan would be a little shy around the characters, but he wasn't at all. He loved them and would run right up and hug them.

The character that played Goofy was a jokester. Nathan did NOT find him amusing. I wonder why...

** Deals: As I've said before, I planned for this trip for several years. So, it gave me time to research things and find some ways to save money. I found the kids' autograph books on eBay. They were cute and worked very well. The covers had Disney characters on them (Mickey for N and Tinker Bell, in diff colors, for the girls) and the pages had cute pictures of Disney Characters around the edges. The books were less than $4 each. To buy an autograph book at Disney, you'll pay around $10. I also got them Disney character pens for $1 at Dollar Tree. The kids got their books and pens as part of the present stash on the trip down.
