Day 2 at Nickelodeon Resort, continued

So, we spent a couple of the afternoon hours at the pool. It rained, but it was just sprinkling. The water was heated and it was just plain nice.

We participated in a couple of family shows. Here the girls are trying to get this red thing off of one person and on to the next person. It was tubular so it had to go over their head and down their body and off their feet. The person at the end, had a pie waiting for them. When he got the fabric off of his feet, he "pied" himself. Lauren and Brookelyn's team won.

Lauren and I participated in a trivia contest and she got to pie me because I won. She was nice about it. For participating in these games, we got to each bring home a bottle of official Nickelodeon Slime which the girls thought was super cool.

Here are Paul and Nathan getting ready to enjoy the 4D movies. They were about 15 minutes long. Nathan didn't like them so much. So, after that Paul and I took turns taking Lauren and Brookelyn to see the others. (We had to exit and re-enter the theater each time. There were 4 movies, but they showed all of them at least twice.)

We bought a package deal so we could all play in the arcade for several hours. Paul and I took turns chasing Nathan so we could each enjoy it too.

The food at the resort was actually ok priced. Since we brought along breakfast things and had a mini fridge and microwave in our room, we were able to really save by using that.

We bought Pizza Hut pizzas the first night so that gave us lunch for the next day. We had poptarts and fruit cups and apples for breakfast the next morning.

There was a Walmart right down the street and so I was able to go and pick up a few food items (since I didn't know ahead of time that we'd have the fridge and microwave) and replenish some of the things we decided we wanted for the next leg of our trip. This REALLY helped with our budget a lot. Everyone got to eat favorite things and we got to enjoy ourselves, but it sure helped to save some of our money by buying and taking most of our snacks and drinks (and almost all of our breakfast foods for 2 weeks) along.

We were all sad to leave the Nickelodeon Resort. It was a fabulous start to a wonderful vacation and was truly fun just being the 5 of us.
