I have such a heavy heart today. I have a couple of things going on that are just really weighing on me.
My mother in law just called and said they're taking my brother in law in for surgery. He's in a lot of pain and they don't know why. He's got cancer. It's one of the Hodgkins ones. He was first diagnosed about 5 years ago. Then was in remission. About 2 years ago, it came back. He was on a rigorous treatment schedule. They seemed to get it. Then late this summer, it came back. He's been in and out of the hospital for the treatments again. He doesn't attend church anywhere or as far as I know, doesn't profess any faith. I'm just heartbroken. Things look really bad. They live in Northern Illinois and they don't have a phone to call. I'm praying. God knows.
**Update** Darrel was too weak to have surgery. He's in ICU and has a DNR. He's not expected to live. Paul's at work and I can't get ahold of him until he's home. We might be traveling to Kankakee in the snow to see him. Please keep praying.
I have a friend who's going through another pregnancy that seems to be taking a turn for the worse again. This isn't her first time to be going through this. When I relive mine with other people, it helps heal my hurts, but in some ways brings that pain back. It's NOT a bad thing. It's a good thing. I don't ever want to forget my babies in Heaven. God had a WONDERFUL plan for their lives. If it weren't for their lives, I wouldn't be who I am today. I wouldn't be as close to my Savior as I am today. I wouldn't be able to love and share and encourage others who are going through this. It gives their tiny lives validity for me. But, it's still painful. I grieve with my friends when they go through this over and over again. It's a good kind of grief.
God is omniscient. God is omnipresent. I rest in that. I'm in prayer today. God is good. All of the time. I know this.

I'm praying Brittany. ((Hugs)) God is in control.
It is obvious you are in pain - not for yourself, but for those who are dear to you! We'll be praying for their comfort - and for your strength to be a witness to them!
