This Sucks.

Here's the deal. Today, I said goodbye to a dear dear friend. She's moving to the East Coast w/ her family and I'm so sad. I've known it was coming for a few months now. I think this is the first time I've said goodbye to a friend as dear as she is. One thing I love and appreciate about her is that she tells it like it is. If she sees something spiritually lacking or a contrast in ones character, she points it out. I love that about her. I hugged her and told her to travel safely. We hope to see each other next February on a trip we're both planning with our families.

Last night, before I went to bed, I got to check the normal blogs I check and do a few things on the computer. The blog I wrote about a few days ago, of the baby that has Trisomy 18 had an update. Baby Jacob died. He lived 4 1/2 months. His mom and dad have been really blunt in their posting and they are Christians. I appreciate their willingness to blog about their raw pain. They titled their blog post "This Sucks." At first, I was a little taken aback by it. But, then read it.

I'm so sad to see my friend move across the country. But, I didn't lose my baby boy and have to go through the grief that family is experiencing tonight. There are some things in my life that suck. But, doesn't everyone have something in their life that isn't going great or the way they planned it to? Wait. We're not here to do what we planned. We're here to do GOD's will and seek His face. Fall at His feet. Worship Him. It doesn't mean things won't suck.

Here's the blog post that Jacob's daddy wrote...
