Ed Debevics, here we come!

My dear, sweet friend, Julie, told us we HAVE to go to Ed Debevics while we're in Chi-town. It was SO MUCH FUN! They're rude to you and all kinds of crazy things. They throw the straws and napkins on the table. They complain if they have to go get you more of things. (Basically how I would act if I were actually a waitress!) They sit down at your table to take your order and they are just plain obnoxious in a funny sort of way. You're given (or have them thrown at you, actually) the paper hats you're supposed to wear while dining.
It's a 50's style diner and the staff dresses in garb sort of resembling it. The food is awesome. It's simple cheeseburger, chili fries, kind of food, but it's super yummy. The atmosphere is so fun.
The thing my girls enjoyed most was that the waitress for the table next to us sang in a very loud, obnoxious, high pitched, off key voice, Happy Birthday "to the Stinky Old Lady" for a 4o ish lady at the table. It was hysterical. Our receipt said, "Thanks for leaving". Get the idea?
They're also known for their "World's Smallest Sundaes". Here, Brookelyn (errr, Vanna) is modeling one for us.
Every 1/2 hour, the servers stop serving and climb onto the main counter and into these window ledges and they dance. It's quite a show.
Britni and Cortni hosted Marlene for the trip and they met us for dinner that night along with my sister-in-law, Nancy. (who, i unfortunately skipped getting a picture of in her lovely hat!)
