We just received word that Paul's brother, Brian, drowned while on a birthday camping trip (his 44th) with his wife and daughter. I can't remember if his daughter is 4 or 5 (Give me a break, I have around 40 nieces and nephews!). She was at the water's edge with him and ran back to the campsite to say that daddy was in the water and she couldn't see him anymore. They live in Menassas, Virginia.

He has 5 other children (2 boys and 3 daughters) and at least 2 grandsons, maybe 3. His oldest daughter, Billie Jo, was in our wedding as a Jr. Bridesmaid. One of his twin daughters, Stephanie, (looooong story why it was only one of them and had NOTHING to do with Paul and I) used to come stay with Paul and I a LOT before Lauren came along.
This makes the 5th family member that Paul and I have lost since last December that started with Paul's brother Darrel.

Thanks for putting a face with family of yours I've been praying for. They need the peace and comfort only God can give. Blessings for you and Paul and the kids.
We just got home from a family gathering - where we talked a bit about how we never know what the next day/hour/minute may bring to us - and how important it is to be SURE that our friends and especially our family KNOW how much we love them! I'm sure you and Paul have been a testimony to his famiy - and you are again called upon to shine the Light of Jesus' love! I'm so sorry for your loss. We'll keep you in our prayers!
