I wanted to do a special tribute to the important Father's in my life. First of all, is my Daddy. This has been the hardest year of my life and yet in so many ways, has been one of the most blessed years of my life. You see, my daddy got really sick. In fact, we thought his life would end before now. I'm sooooo glad it didn't. I feel so blessed to call him my father. He has been such a rock or solid foundation in my life. I've ALWAYS been able to depend on him, when I needed to. He sat through endless basketball and football games to watch me cheer on the sidelines. He took me to and brought me home from camp in Michigan on several occasions. He was always kind (at least to the best of my knowledge ;) ) to the guys I dated, even if he didn't like them so well. He worked a load of jobs so I do a lot of fun things, so we could go fun places, and so I could wear those expensive cheerleading uniforms, to buy me a new truck, and then to pay for our wedding. He worked me hard sometimes, but what didn't kill me, made me stronger, right? While I hated every second of it, it DID teach me some things....like NEVER do that to my own kids! bwa hahahaha!!! Seriously, it was good for me in many ways. Besides, I loved spending the money he paid me for working, so don't feel too bad for me.
I gave birth to my son about 15 months ago and it's his first grandson. He absolutely adores each of his 5 grand daughters, but Naters has a special place in his heart. It doesn't hurt that of the few words he says, some of them are Grand-dad (Graw-Ga 'n Nana), tractor (Cracker!), football (Bootball), and Car (said correctly, but growled!).
Here are a few pictures from the last year, starting in Feb '06.
